Curriculum modelling

Our auto-completion service is an excellent tool for advanced curriculum modelling. Edval can take a range of requirements and provide timetables for each, together with advanced statistics which enable quality comparison between solutions. You may wish to consider the implications of streaming (or not) the Science classes. You may want to consider the benefits of hiring two part-timers over a full timer.

You may want to consider raising two new elective classes, but are unsure what impact this may have to your timetable, or if your resources could support this change. We can consult on these issues, and quickly produce a range of associated sample timetables (with quality statistics) so you can determine the best structure for your resource and educational requirements.

Statistics can include spread issues, rating specific classes and the timetable itself, staff management issues like which teachers have poor teaching days (only one or two periods, or perhaps a full day with no free periods) as well as room allocation where come classes can't be allocated their preferred rooms. The modelling process shows you what changes can be achieved within your existing resources, as well as what additional resources you may require to enable any proposed changes to your curriculum.

Given the difficulty of generating just a single timetable by manual or other means, curriculum modelling is not easy, but Edval has changed that. Our auto-completion tools are perfect for this task, quickly giving you the information you need with a minimum of fuss.
