Edval resolves timetable clashes automatically and often in seconds, including teacher clashes and room clashes. This process is as simple as pressing the ‘Fix’ command. Edval will reassign class periods to resolve the clash with the least disruption to the timetable, and with consideration of class spreads requirements as well as class structures.
Advanced options include allowing Edval to automatically re-staff clashing classes according to your rules if this is able to resolve clashes which can’t be solved by moving the classes to any other times.
Edval’s automated service provides clash-free timetables directly to you. Sometimes however, clients want to construct timetables manually, or make minor changes themselves. Edval’s graphical interface allows you to drag and drop classes, rooms, and teachers. Any move you make immediately shows any clashes that would result, so you can see what moves are possible.
To re-room a class you can just drag it to a new room, and as soon as you start moving the class, all the rooms are greyed out, except for those which are appropriate for this class, so science classes show their preferred rooms as well as the available labs as soon as you start to re-room any science class. Edval’s automatic room feature means that manual re-rooming is rarely necessary of course.
